This landscape was the inspiration for the formation of
Xeriscape Design! It belonged to one of the founders
of the company, Lynne. She wanted to remove her
lawn and put in something more interesting and easier
take care of. She conceived of the plan to turn the
front yard into her own piece of Southern Utah.

As with most natural landscapes, a path adds
interest to the landscape, lets you wander through
the area so you can get a close look at all the
plants as they change throughout the seasons, and
it makes maintenance easier. The large boulders
form the perfect backdrop for a variety of xeric
plants.

By choosing the right combination of evergreen
plants, flowering shrubs, succulents, grasses and
perennials, you can guarantee color and interest
all year long.

This landscape now belongs to Liz, one of the
owners of Xeriscape Design. She continues to
add new plants, testing them for drought-
tolerance, winter hardiness and deer resistance.
Her love of this yard led her not only to the
purchase of the house but the business as well!
